Turn Her Style Presents Project Runway Designer, Korto Momolu at Spring Fashion Event
Turn Her Style presents Korto Momolu and creates a new fashion genre.
Memphis, TN, April 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Turn Her Style announces the presentation of premiere Designer, Korto Momolu at its Spring Mimosas & Makeovers event on April 18, 2009 at the Peabody, Memphis. Mimosas & Makeovers is a revolution in the fashion industry as it combines a makeover event with a New York style fashion show. The result? ...a brilliant mix of practical advice and high fashion style allowing every attendee to connect with their inner fashion diva.
The first half of the Mimosas & Makeovers event will showcase the makeover winners of the March makeover contest. Winners of that contest were selected based on the merits of their nomination. Some of the nominees had neglected themselves for years as they devoted their time to caring for children, parents, spouses, and sick love ones. Joyce Turner, of Turn Her Style enthused that, “Watching people emerge from a makeover is a true joy. They are generally stunned at the result – not even realizing that they could feel so good about themselves. We have had clients tell us that we’ve changed their lives. With their new found confidence, they are ready to look for a new job, find love, or just accept a host of wonderful compliments.” Makeover winners receive hair, make-up, and clothing services.
The second half of the event is a true fashion runway show presented by Korto Momolu. Korto trained at the L’academie des Couturiers in Ottawa, Canada and the Parsons School of Design in New York. She is best known, however, as the first runner-up and Fan Favorite for Bravo TV’s latest installment of the reality show ‘Project Runway”. Korto’s fashion motto is: “To throw away the fashion rule book—designing haute couture for women of all body types and combining fabrics, textures and silhouettes in ways that make even the most jaded of fashion aficionados take notice”. In her March 2009 appearance on BET’s Rip the Runway, Korto masterfully demonstrated her ability to push the fashion boundaries while delivering items women crave.
In addition to a great fashion show, attendees will sip mimosas while receiving style advice from industry insiders.
