Collegiate Cycling National Championship to be Broadcast Live on Bicycle Racing TV
Longmont, CO, May 09, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Bicycle Racing TV (www.bicycleracing.tv) will officially launch on May 8th with the live broadcast of the collegiate cycling road national championship in Fort Collins, CO. The broadcast will include all three days of racing beginning with the road races on Friday. Bicycle Racing TV is a new service dedicated to connecting cycling fans with live broadcast video of bicycle races.
“We’re excited to be providing the live video coverage of the national championship,” said Rob Zabrecky of Bicycle Racing TV. “This broadcast will be our official launch and it will also be the first time that collegiate cycling will be broadcast live in any format.”
By using BRTV promoters can focus on the race itself and leave the broadcasting to a dedicated group. The broadcast will be shown exclusively on-line using internet technology. This means that there will be tremendous cost savings by using this format. The concept is that more events, including grassroots races, can broadcast their events live.
“Until now broadcasting a road race live has been very expensive,” said Zabrecky. “By using the technology available to us, we can bring the costs down to broadcast more races that cycling fans would like to see. We know that there will be some bugs to work out, but this event will provide us with a great example of what we hope to see more of in the future.”
