BridgeWays Releases Major Expansion of Its System Center Cross-Platform Monitoring at Microsoft TechEd Show
BridgeWays responds to customer demand with Apache Tomcat, Oracle Enterprise, IBM DB2 and BlackBerry management packs for Microsoft’s System Center Operations Manager.
New York, NY, November 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- BridgeWays, a division of Xandros, today announced a major expansion of its line of cross-platform System Center monitoring to Apache Tomcat, Oracle Enterprise, IBM DB2 and BlackBerry Enterprise Server. The new management packs come in response to customer demands to extend the BridgeWays single-console monitoring for the Microsoft System Center Operations Manager to these popular enterprise applications on Windows, Linux, and Unix. These new BridgeWays arrivals join previously released management packs for Oracle Database, MySQL Database, Apache HTTP Server, JBoss Application Server, and VMware ESX/ESXi. The new BridgeWays management packs will be on display at the Microsoft TechEd show, Berlin, November 9-13.
Upgrades to the JBoss and VMware management packs were also released today. The BridgeWays product line, which will continue to expand, was developed under the broad technology and business collaboration agreement between Microsoft and Xandros.
“The new BridgeWays management packs are a major contribution to the consolidation and rationalization of enterprise IT administration,” said Andreas Typaldos, CEO of Xandros. “The beauty of BridgeWays is that it enables the typical enterprise with a mix of applications on Windows, Linux, and Unix to reduce costs and enhance efficiency by replacing their patchwork of silo-based controls with a single consolidated view via Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007. BridgeWays thus eliminates redundant consoles and skill sets, but even more important, it means that administrators can set up System Center controls to see how servers and distributed applications interact with one another and quickly resolve complex issues through root cause analysis.”
