33rd Annual OMMS Christmas in July Artisan Fair Announces Call for Vendors
Event returns to Oceanside, CA on July 10-11, 2010
Oceanside, CA, April 20, 2010 --(PR.com)-- What better way to enjoy the fun and sun of summer than a little Christmas shopping? The annual Old Mission Montessori School (OMMS) “Christmas in July” artisan fair boasts the handiwork of more than 100 artisan booths. Top that off with a variety of foods, local talent, and a spectacular kids’ zone, and you have a community event that draws artists, families, and visitors from across southern California and beyond. This year, the festivities will take place on Saturday, July 10th and Sunday, July 11th. Artisan applications are now being accepted.
Carefully selected artisans dot the grounds of the historic Mission San Luis Rey Parish – selling everything from seasonal décor to jewelry to fine art. Some of the unique, handmade products on display and for sale at this year’s fair include toys, spa products, ceramics and Christmas novelties.
In addition to artisan booths, the North County San Diego tradition boasts a farmers’ market full of fresh flowers and locally grown fruits and vegetables; amazing deals at the popular Sister Gladys’ rummage sale; and homemade baked goods, ethnic foods, and traditional festival favorites such as sno-cones and hotdogs. Kids will love the face painting, old-fashioned carnival games with prizes, and arts and crafts supplied by AB Fine Arts Studio. Local bands, dancers, and karate studios grace the entertainment stage throughout the weekend. The live auction on Sunday at noon always gets people excited -- especially when they scoop up some great deals. The community is also invited attend a guided tour of the campus and school grounds.
