idOnDemand and Novell Launch Free SmartID Program for New SecureLogin Customers
idOnDemand is providing a truly single identity experience for free to new Novell SecureLogin customers by combining enterprise Single Sign-On with a smart card that accesses your buildings, VPN and computers, on-demand.
Pleasanton, CA, September 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- idOnDemand, pioneers in smart identification, today announced a program aimed at making it free for new Novell SecureLogin customers to implement a standards based, highly secure, single identity for access to all enterprise resources, buildings and IT. Companies eligible to participate in the Free SmartID program are new Novell SecureLogin customers or existing customers who purchase additional licenses. They will receive a license for 50 free SmartIDs from idOnDemand when they purchase 500 SecureLogin seats from Novell or 100 free SmartIDs when they purchase 1,000 SecureLogin seats. This is up to a $5,550 value, and the program runs through December 31, 2010.
By adding smart cards, the “Free SmartID” program provides the opportunity for organizations to deploy an identity solution that works seamlessly with their newly purchased Single Sign-On solution from Novell. Customers benefit from a truly single identity experience from the moment they enter their building to logging onto their internal and cloud IT resources. And as idOnDemand is delivered as a hosted service, implementation effort and costs are dramatically reduced.
How the program works
Customers simply fill out the online registration form and send in their Novell SecureLogin proof of purchase from Novell within 45 days after card issuance to receive credit and activate their idOnDemand service. In subsequent years, customers only pay idOnDemand the annual service fee for the users that remain active.
With this promotion, the idOnDemand service includes:
· Globally Trusted Managed Certificate Authority
· FIPS 201 compatible smart cards
· Integrated Building Access Card (HID, Indala, Honeywell compatible and MIFARE, PIV, ISO14443)
· Support for Cisco and other major VPN routers
· Support for their corporate directory authentication.
· Enrollment portal with graphical personalization
· 20 minute hands on orientation
"idOnDemand chose to partner with Novell, as they are leaders in the Enterprise Single Sign-On space," stated Jack Bubany, idOnDemand's vice president of partners. "In launching the Free SmartID Program, we're establishing an easy way for Novell to help their customers provide a true single identity for both building and computer access, with no risk or obligation. We are confident that customers will enjoy having a single badge for building and IT access."
