According to the US Energy Information Administration, US gasoline prices have increased 10% in the last month and 90% from last year. However in an interesting twist, the Associated Press reported that while gas prices are rising, Americans have purchased less gasoline in the last five weeks than they did in April-May of 2010. And with two hundred ten thousand new jobs added in March, many analysts believed that spending would increase as more people drove to work.
