Amber Alert Issued for Unknown Washington Boy
Springfield, IL, March 05, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Snohomish County Sheriff's Department and The Washington State Police officials have issued a statewide Amber Alert after a man reportedly grabbed a child from Discovery Elementary School in Everett this morning and forced him into a blue van.
The boy is described as 5 to 7 years old, about 3 feet 6 inches tall, and was last seen wearing a dark-colored knit cap and a dark-colored backpack.
The suspect is a Hispanic man in his early 20s, wearing a dark red raincoat, police said.
The van may be a Mitsubishi model, but witnesses did not report a license plate number. Police do not know what direction the van is heading but have alerted law enforcement and media agencies through Western Washington.
