MD-IT Associate Partner Transcription Unlimited to Bring Narrative Note EMR to Clients
Medical documentation software and service provider MD-IT announced today that Transcription Unlimited of Independence, MO, has signed on as an associate partner, allowing them to offer the MD-IT Platform and EMR to their physician clients.
Boulder, CO, November 20, 2011 --(PR.com)-- MD-IT, the leading provider of medical documentation software and service to ambulatory clinics and physician groups, announced today that Transcription Unlimited of Independence, MO, has signed on as an associate partner, allowing them to offer the MD-IT Platform and EMR to their physician clients.
As a Medical Transcription Service Organization (MTSO) affiliate, Transcription Unlimited will move their entire ambulatory practice client base to the MD-IT Platform, a less expensive and more comprehensive solution built for the growing and future needs of healthcare.
“MD-IT has the perfect blend of what we need,” said Linda Hill, president of Transcription Unlimited. “Not only did we decrease our costs by partnering with MD-IT, we’ve increased the value of the services to our clients. It’s user-friendly, completely web-based, and whether a client has an EMR or not, we can preserve a diction-based workflow.”
By partnering with MD-IT, Transcription Unlimited will offer the MD-IT EMR to their physician clients who have yet to adopt an electronic health record system, bridging the gap for those who prefer to dictate or for those who want to take advantage of the Medicare Electronic Prescribing (eRx) Incentive Program.
“Clients conveyed to us their concern about dedicating the time and resources to meet eRx requirements. We can leverage MD-IT’s expertise and use them as a resource for government programs like MIPPA and the HITECH Act,” Hill added.
MD-IT Senior Consultant Bobby Powers, who worked extensively with Hill and her colleagues to bring them on as partners, said, “MTSOs like Transcription Unlimited are strategically positioned to help physicians implement EMRs and give them back a narrative note, improve productivity, and limit claim denials from payors. Transcription Unlimited understands the needs of their doctors and are now in position to help them adopt an EMR.”
Transcription Unlimited was a perfect fit as an associate to MD-IT, as both companies share the philosophy that narrative notes provide practices with the clinical and administrative benefits to overcome EMR shortcomings – boilerplate notes, loss of efficiency, decrease in revenue – while providing the rich data captured by the unique thoughts and actions of a physician at the point of care. “The comprehensive patient narrative is vitally important to my clients. They prefer to dictate, but they need a fully functional and intuitive electronic system. They want the best of both worlds, and that’s what we can give them with MD-IT as a partner,” Hill said.
