Sparta New Jersey Musician Embarks on World Tour

Sparta, NJ, November 20, 2011 --(PR.com)-- 20 year old multi-instrumentalist Jordan Lawlor from Sparta, NJ, a former student of Bill Wright’s Guitar Studio, has just embarked on a major world tour as guitarist, bassist, keyboardist and vocalist with the band M83 in support of their latest album “Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming” which debuted at number 21 on the billboard charts. The band just completed their 1st show in Mexico City to an audience of over 50,000 fans and is now on their way to perform to sold out shows across the United States and Canada. After a stop in New York City on 11/21 to perform on the Late Show hosted by Jimmy Fallon the band will head over to the Europe to perform in a number of countries including the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Finland, Netherlands, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Czech Republic, France, Denmark and others with new shows being added all the time. After that it’s off to Australia and New Zealand. According to Jordan’s instructor Bill Wright, Jordan was very fun and interesting to work with for the several years that he studied here at the studio. “We used to cover many different styles of music from Blues, to Jazz, Classical and of course Rock. Jordan had a unique learning style and we did not take the usual course of action of learning to read music but instead worked out most of what we did by ear. He was also interested in learning all of the different scales and modes so that he could make up his own music. I remember how excited he was when he and his brother Jamie won the Sparta Battle of the Bands with their band Teenage Millionaire now known as Future, Future.” Jordan’s family just recently moved out to L.A. to help promote the boys musical careers. When asked about the success of other students from his studio, Bill commented that he has had several of his students go on to attend the Berklee College of Music, one of my students even won a scholarship there. We just had a group of kids perform live on the radio at WNTI and another group of High School age students recently performed at the Blairstown Theatre. We also have a lot of students who have successfully auditioned for their schools jazz band and a couple have even made regional and state jazz band, not to mention all the other kids that just have fun playing music.
