Palmetto Childproofing Vice President Mike Bost Achieves Industry Milestone
The International Association for Child Safety has developed the childproofing industry's first and only professional certification program.
Charlotte, NC, November 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Mike Bost, vice president of Palmetto Childproofing Inc, has been awarded the Certified Professional Childproofer designation by the International Association for Child Safety (IAFCS).
The Certified Professional Childproofer designation recognizes those individuals in the childproofing industry who have met the exacting standards set by the IAFCS as to professional education, knowledge, and experience in the field of child safety, ethics, business practices, installation of child safety products, and child safety consulting.
The standards for the Certified Professional Childproofer program are found on http://www.CertifiedProfessionalChildproofers.org.
"The certification program was developed in 2010 to advance the professionalism and credibility of the childproofing industry," says Bost, who has been a professional babyproofer for over 11 years. "Even though I've been baby proofing homes for quite some time," he says, "I wanted to demonstrate my commitment to child safety and professional growth by meeting the requirements and criteria of the newly established certification program."
According to Bost, the program is overseen by the Board of Certification for Professional Childproofers (BCPC), an independent body formed to develop, implement, and monitor the certification program. In recognizing the experienced childproofer, the BCPC seeks to inspire all childproofers to provide superior safety services and to continue to develop expertise in the professional childproofing industry.
"A Certified Professional Childproofer has demonstrated experience and expertise in identifying home hazards and installing child safety devices for even the most difficult-to-solve situations," says Colleen Driscoll, executive director of the IAFCS.
The IAFCS recommends that parents consult with a Certified Professional Childproofer when selecting a company to assist them with their babyproofing needs.
Certified Professional Childproofer and the corresponding logos are proprietary trademarks of the International Association for Child Safety.
