Dreamkind Launches Current Events Game Newsflash: A Free Game Where Players Win Money for Charities

Englewood, NJ, June 13, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Dreamkind announced the launch of Newsflash, a news, gaming, and social network platform designed to deliver current events in a fun way. Each weekday, players will be competing to answer timely and topical questions. A new set of questions will appear at noon (EST) every day Monday through Friday. Players will be playing for the charity of their choice and each week Dreamkind will be making donations to the charities of the top performing players.

In addition to earning points for answering questions quickly and correctly, Newsflash players will also be able to rack up high scores by wagering points on each question. The more points a player risks, the more points they can win.

“In addition to being a fun trivia game, Newsflash also provides players with a fast and fresh new way to stay on top of the news,” said Dreamkind’s President, Jay Schiffman. “If it’s a trending topic, it will be in Newsflash. Each day we feature questions on the latest stories from the worlds of politics, entertainment, sports, business, technology, and national and world news.”

Regular players can expect to answer a wide range of questions. For example:

What was the most watched television show this past week?
A. 60 Minutes
B. NCIS
C. America’s Got Talent
D. The Big Bang Theory

Which Major League Baseball team currently has the best record?
A. Washington Nationals
B. L.A. Dodgers
C. Texas Rangers
D. Tampa Bay Rays

Who is the current Senate Majority Leader?
A. Mitch Connell
B. Harry Reid
C. Chuck Schumer
D. Richard Durbin

Who has sold the most records so far in 2012?
A. Taylor Swift
B. Lionel Ritchie
C. Whitney Houston
D. Adele

“The game rewards players who are paying attention to the news, but a smart betting strategy is also important,” said Matt Cohen, Director of Business Development and Marketing. “If the category of the next Newsflash question is ‘Entertainment’, you might want to bet low if you don’t know the difference between Twilight and Game of Thrones. On the other hand, if the next question category is ‘U.S. Politics’ and you’re following the campaign closely, then go ‘all in’ to beat your friends’ high scores.”

Some of the unique features of Newsflash include:
-- Questions are updated daily, so each day provides a new challenge.
-- Dreamkind will be making weekly donations to charities supported by the most successful players.
-- A betting system introduces a fun and dynamic form of strategic thinking into the classic trivia format.
-- Each question in the game is accompanied by a brief news story, affording players the opportunity to stay informed while they play the game.

Mr. Cohen added, “If you know as much about Barack Obama’s foreign policy as you do about Kim Kardashian’s dating policy, then Newsflash is the game for you.”

Newsflash is free to play at http://dreamkind.com/newsflash. A new round of game play starts each day Monday through Friday at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
