Dope Magazine Luxury Lounge and Confiance Fashion Giveaway
Los Angeles, CA, June 30, 2012 --(PR.com)-- “Confiance” will celebrate the BET® Awards with its participation in Dope Magazine’s Luxury Lounge, benefiting The Lupus Foundation In Honor of The 2012 BET Awards.
The event will be held at the Nakeah’s Cosmetics & Beauty Lounge in West Hollywood June 29-30 and will be attended by media, celebrities and BET nominees.
Confiance is a Los Angeles based t-shirt and jewelry line for women, men and kids, designed by Maryam Gueramian. The designs are inspired by universally known symbols and sayings, some hand-drawn/made by Maryam and others printed in different languages, in order to represent Los Angeles's diversity and build a bridge between cultural and religious differences through fashion.
Confiance is French for confidence and Maryam believes that if you think confidence then you project it too; hence why the logo is a thinking blurb.
The tees are made in limited quantities and the jewelry is Handmade to order with the finest quality glass crystal and semi-precious beads. Each piece of jewelry comes with a custom-made Confiance logo charm.
Material is bought in Los Angeles and the end product is manufactured here as well, in order to help the U.S. economy and job market.
Maryam launched her line at the 4th Annual UCLA Fashion Show Benefiting PACI (Persian American Cancer Institute) on April 3, 2010. In January of 2011, she was one of the sponsors for the HBO Luxury Lounge® in Honor of the 68th Golden Globe® Awards. Maryam also competed in the Miss CA USA 2012 pageant, with the title of Miss West Coast. In February 2012, Confiance exhibited its Spring/Summer collection which included a new collection for kids at WWD MAGIC. Soon after that, Maryam presented her new collection at the OC Fashion Showcase in April 2012.
