Fashion and Entertainment Collide in Atlanta for the First Atlanta International Fashion Week
Atlanta, GA, July 07, 2007 --(PR.com)-- In August 2007, history will be made as the Atlanta Fashion Network presents the Atlanta International Fashion Week, one of the most avant-garde fashion expos to ever hit Atlanta, Georgia. Atlanta International Fashion Week is a four-day fashion and entertainment exposition, from August 16th to August 19th, 2007, being held at one of Atlanta's preeminent exposition facilities, the Georgia World Congress Center. Atlanta International Fashion Week is designed for consumers and business owners who thrive on what's hot in the ever-evolving worlds of Fashion and Entertainment. AIFW will offer intense, highly informative, and entertaining workshops and fashion related courses within Pretty Academy.
Atlanta International Fashion Week was created to provide a centralized platform for American designers that seek to become players in the global fashion business. AFN has partnered with some of the most aesthetic and internationally known designers in the fashion industry. They'll be heating up the runways with winter collections from top couture designers. This celebrity-studded affair will impress and excite partygoers and fashion addicts alike. It is set to become a marquee event attracting over 3,000 plus industry insiders, buyers, retailers, celebrities, VIPs and members of the regional, national and international press.
In addition, each night of AIFW will provide participants with the opportunity to make key industry contacts and linkages at one of our lavish dinners and networking events. Designers will showcase their latest collections and supermodels will hit the runway in the UrbanStyle Fashion Affair, Curvy Couture and the Couture Noire fashion shows. These networking opportunities and glamorous events simply cannot be missed.
Two gala events will also set AIFW apart as a truly exceptional experience. First, on August 16th, AIFW Opening ceremony will feature a keynote address from a major innovator within the fashion industry and culminating on August 19th, with a ceremony honoring fashion icons and moguls as part of the Fashion ICON Awards and Gala.
Atlanta International Fashion Week will bring together hundreds of the brightest stars in fashion and entertainment for a week of fun designed to both raise funds and heighten awareness of issues facing today's communities. Partial proceeds will be donated to the MAC Aids Fund and other local charities and foundations.
The many Atlanta International Fashion Week partners and supporters include companies such as BET, Giant Magazine, MAC Aids Fund, SoSo Def Recordings, PoshGlam, FashionLedge.com, Skorch Magazine, Urban Mainstream Magazine, Michael Knight from Project Runway, Atlanta Fashion Network, United Imperial Entertainment, Mymodeltalk.com and several NBA players.
