Vitex’s Portable Broadcasting Transport System Shines at MTV Movie Awards

Vitex LLC's Portable Broadcast Signal Generator (PBTS) was used on Sunday, April 13 at the annual MTV Movie Awards. It was the product's first big test and functioned perfectly for the event.

Ridgefield Park, NJ, April 21, 2014 --(PR.com)-- It didn’t win any golden popcorn, but it did deliver an outstanding performance.

Vitex LLC’s Portable Broadcasting Transport System (PBTS) was an overwhelming success in its first major application at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, April 13. Purchased in February by the Viacom media division MTV Networks, the product was given its first test on the national stage at the annual awards show and provided a seamless broadcast feed all night.

The PBTS proved a perfect fit for MTV’s need to link multiple cameras in use at the awards show to a single distribution point. Its unique design was customized for the specific purpose of transmitting multiple video signals over a long distance.

“We were very pleased to hear that MTV successfully integrated the PBTS into their show,” said Kevin Stiffler, Sales Engineer at Vitex. “It’s a product we’ve wanted to develop in the broadcast industry, and seeing it perform so well on this stage is a great step forward in this regard.”

Recently added to the Vitex product line, the PBTS is designed for long distance video signal transmission. It supports many different types of video signals, including 3G SDI, and carries video signal up to 10km within a remote access site.
