Hydro Mania Acquired by the Berkeley Capital Group
Berkeley Capital Group has Acquired HydroMania Ltd.
San Francisco, CA, August 19, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Berkeley Capital Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of Hydro Mania Ltd.
Established in 1979, Hydro Mania was one of the first to recognize the successful application of hydroponics techniques. Hydro Mania has a wide range of the best indoor and outdoor cultivation products and accessories – pots and hydroponic systems, fertilizers, ventilation and lighting equipment.
Mr. M.A. Berkeley CEO of the Berkeley Capital Group says, “the tactical acquisition of Hydro Mania Ltd. is consistent with the Berkeley Capital Group’s strategy of disciplined and selective growth in the retail home farming business, with a particular focus on developing their hydroponic growing business position on a national and global framework.”
Mr. Berkeley concludes that “the stage is set for a paradigm shift in crop production from conventional geoponics or cultivation in soil to hydroponics or soil less cultivation. And with that hydroponics systems have proved more productive than conventional systems of agriculture.”
Mr. John McDonald President of Hydro Mania states “We are delighted to announce the acquisition of Hydro Mania Ltd., The acquisition brings together two businesses with a strong strategic fit and will accelerate our strategy of growth into an improving indoor/outdoor farming marketplace.”
The acquisition will add an additional $20 million to the Berkeley Capital Group’s balance sheet in fiscal year 2015.
