Blvd Suites Corporate Housing and ExecNet Properties Complete Merger
Metro Detroit-based Blvd Suites and Denver-based ExecNet Properties will operate as Blvd Suites Corporate Housing. Combined operations create national platform for servicing client's temporary furnished housing needs.
Oak Park, MI, November 18, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Blvd Suites Corporate Housing, based in Metro Detroit, and Denver-based ExecNet Properties, both leading providers of fully furnished and serviced apartments, have merged their operations. The new, combined company will assist clients under the Blvd Suites brand.
Zac Cihak, the owner of ExecNet Properties, has now joined the ownership group of Blvd Suites where he has an equal ownership position and input in directing growth, strategy and the development of the company’s team members. In addition to this, one hundred percent of the ExecNet team will remain in place and become Blvd Suites team members.
“The Blvd Suites culture is built on the ideals of innovation, finding solutions, enhancing the guest experience, having a sense of urgency when responding to customer needs, and always doing the right thing,” says Mike Dunklee, one of three Founding Partners at Blvd Suites. “The entire team at ExecNet Properties embrace these same ideals. It became clear early on when we started doing business with Zac and his team that there could be something greater for our companies to pursue than a purely transactional business relationship.”
Founding Partner Cihak agrees. “Our companies are philosophically aligned in nearly every aspect of how we operate, from how we manage our customer relationships to how we run our back-of-the-house operations, and especially how we treat our people,” says Cihak. “We have been benchmarking against each other for several years to continually raise one another’s game. A constant thread in each of those dialogues or site visits was, ‘How can we find a way to combine our energies and become something even greater?’”
Cihak and his team will remain in Denver in one of the company’s two hub offices, while Dunklee will remain in Blvd Suites’ other hub office in Oak Park, Mich. alongside third Founding Partner Jeff Hurley.
Says Hurley, “This merger is a culmination of planning that began almost four years ago. Once we recognized both companies shared the same entrepreneurial spirit and a core belief in empowering our people, not to mention incredibly similar processes and procedures, we began pursuing a merger in earnest in early 2013.”
Under the Blvd Suites name, Blvd Suites and ExecNet Properties have jointly opened offices in Kansas City and Omaha over the past two years.
“Blvd Suites’ strategy of opening offices in niche, underserved, mid-sized markets and vetting best in class providers who also embrace our industry-leading service levels has allowed us to build a national platform,” says Hurley. “With this platform, Blvd Suites can service our customer’s furnished housing needs virtually anywhere in the United States, as well as parts of Canada.”

Regarding the transition from ExecNet Properties to Blvd Suites, Cihak emphasizes significant discussion has gone into making it seamless for customers, vendors and partners. “All Blvd Suites and ExecNet phone numbers and addresses are unchanged with the merger. Each number will continue to ring at the same location and desk it always has. Further, ExecNet email addresses will automatically forward to the new email destinations of ExecNet team members who are now part of the Blvd Suites team,” says Cihak.
