Kaprica Releases Tachyon App for Automatic Samsung Device Configuration and Deployment
Kaprica Security™ Inc., a thought leader in enterprise cyber security, mobility and cloud software, today released its Tachyon™ v1.0 configuration and deployment software for Samsung mobile devices.
Reston, VA, January 29, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Kaprica Security™ Inc., a thought leader in enterprise cyber security, mobility and cloud software, today released its Tachyon™ v1.0 configuration and deployment software for Samsung mobile devices.
Tachyon automatically configures and deploys large numbers of Samsung smartphones and tablets to end users in government, finance, healthcare, retail and field services organizations, maintaining an audit trail for Quality Assurance (QA) and compliance purposes. With the release of Tachyon™ v1.0, all current Samsung Galaxy smartphones or tablets are configured over the air from email or a Quick Response (QR) code. The Tachyon solution consists of an Android app and a cloud-based administrator portal.
“Especially where provisioning new devices as they come out of the box and go into the field, or in migrating from one Mobile Device Management (MDM) tool to another, Tachyon saves Systems Integrators (SI) and enterprises time and money while improving the end user experience,” explains Doug Britton, Kaprica Security’s CEO.
“Tachyon offers a unique capability in the market. The one-click deployment and customization of Samsung devices dramatically bolsters the overall rollout process at scale,” said Nick Rea, vice president of Technical Solutions at Samsung Electronics America. “It’s truly a game changer and is raising a great deal of interest in government and industry verticals. We’re excited about the positive impact Tachyon will have on our customers deploying thousands of Samsung devices.”
Today, most enterprise mobile configuration and deployment is carried out manually, or is at best partially automated using simple tools or the limited configuration capabilities of MDM software, where present. Typical enterprise rollouts involve 100s to 1000s of users and 100 or more manual steps, covering everything from organizational backgrounds, sophisticated networking and security setup, to custom apps, MDM or Samsung Knox™ installation, along with QA and auditing. From the Tachyon portal, a mobile administrator can easily automate dozens of manual steps by tying them to corporate data from Microsoft Excel or Active Directory (AD).
A large SI recently reported cutting 25 minutes set up time per device with Tachyon on its 70-step setup process, multiplied over 3,000 devices across 500 locations. The Tachyon app and trial Tachyon Portal accounts are available immediately from Kaprica or authorized resellers.
