Inkcups Now J3 Sapphire Series Medical Grade Pad Printing Ink

Glossy, quick drying, versatile one or two component screen/pad printing ink safe for medical use

Danvers, MA, March 20, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Danvers, MA. USA - The J3 series Sapphire pad printing ink is formulated for adhesion to ABS, SAN and styrene parts. The ink is a fast drying, Class VI Medical Grade ink perfectly compatible with semi-flexible parts. When extra abrasion resistance is required, 1000H hardener may be added, however using the J3 series as a one component ink without hardener will work just as well for the slightly less intensive applications.

The J3 series uses a chemical adhesion standard to bind to the substrate: the resins in the ink “bite” into the product. This makes the J3 a great pad printing ink, enhancing its ability to stick, though it also means any misprints must be removed fairly quickly to avoid leaving a ‘ghost’ or shadow mark on the material. The J3 series ink is best used for pad printing, but it may also be used as a screen printing ink. S-3 Retarder should be added when screen printing to slow the drying process to keep the ink from locking/drying in the screen.
