BREATHE LA’s 7th Annual COPD Conference
Respected Doctors Discuss Advancing the Diagnosis and Management of COPD.
Los Angeles, CA, October 23, 2015 --(PR.com)-- On Saturday, November 14, 2015, BREATHE California of Los Angeles (BREATHE LA) County will hold its 7th Annual COPD Conference. This year’s conference theme is Advancing the Diagnosis and Management of COPD with and Focus on COPD Exacerbations. The conference will be held at The Mark, 9320 W. Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90035, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is the third leading cause of death in the United States. The esteemed panel of doctors will discuss the newest methods of diagnosis for COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), a disease that affects nearly 550,000 people in Los Angeles County. For that reason, the topics will be tailored to the unique approaches used when factoring in the local community.
Topics of discussion will include: Introductory Remarks and current status of COPD, California Wellness Plan Goals for COPD, BREATHE California COPD Advisory Group Clinical Standards, Co-morbidities and Other Considerations in COPD Management, Diagnosis of COPD Exacerbations, Preventing COPD Exacerbations, and New Technology in the Management of COPD.
There will also be portable, tabletop, and telehealth devices, creating stations for Spirometry demonstrations and COPD Monitoring demonstrations.
