TheRealJonSmith Writes and Produces a “Movie Star” for Universal Pictures

Santa Monica, CA, November 30, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Multi-Genre Record Producer, Songwriter, Mixer, and Multi-Instrumentalist Jonathan Smith [a.k.a. TheRealJonSmith] produced and wrote a “Jem” of a song for Universal’s new “Jem and the Holograms” movie and soundtrack. Released in U.S. theaters everywhere on October 23, 2015.

Taylor Swift recorded the band’s song “Untouchable” on her Fearless: “Platinum Edition” release. Jonathan Smith co-wrote the song “Movie Star” with pop artist / actor Hayley Kiyoko [“Jem and the Holograms” cast member “Aja” / Raven Ramirez on CSI: Cyber].

Jonathan [a.k.a. TheRealJonSmith] has written, recorded, produced, mixed, and performed with several Multi-Platinum / Multi-Grammy Award Winning artists, producers and other hit songwriters [for P!nk, Kelly Clarkson, Lady A, Keith Urban, Leona Lewis], as well as many A-List, world-class session musicians.

Formerly based in Nashville, and after spending sixteen years working in studios and touring around the world, Jonathan relocated to Los Angeles in 2011. Now he can be found working between these music capitals and enjoys the diversity. Recently, five different artists, in various genres, have released singles and EP’s Jonathan co-wrote, produced, mixed, and played nearly every instrument. Irish singer songwriter Yelpy's “Feel It” is getting significant airplay internationally, with more singles / videos to be released from the EP. Mainstream Country artist Ty March’s single “Summertime” is being featured on major radio stations and already receiving label attention before the "Going Big (On A Small Town)" EP has been released. Presently, Jonathan is writing and producing a song with Latin artist / actor Christopher Von Uckermann [member of Multi-Million Selling RBD] and Pablo Dylan.
