Emerging Companies in Animal Health to Present at Investment Forum

Twelve emerging companies in animal health will be showcasing their innovations within therapeutics, diagnostics or vaccines to an audience of pharmaceutical executives, private equity professionals and leading animal health companies at the European Animal Health Investment Forum set to take place in London this February.

London, United Kingdom, October 29, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Kisaco Research recently announced that Clinton Lewis, Executive Vice President and President of International Operations for global animal health company Zoetis, will be the Chairman for the European Animal Health Investment Forum. He is joined by speakers Rick DeLuca, Executive Vice President and President of MSD Animal Health, Joachim Hasenmeier, Boehringer Ingelheim and Dr. Dirk Ehle, Bayer Animal Health, who are leading topic discussions covering the big picture of animal health, antibiotic alternatives, standardisation and global trends as well as introducing the emerging animal health company showcases.

The market is ripe with opportunity - last week alone, pet drug supplier Animalcare shares jumped nearly 10% and Ceva Animal Health LLC landed a $6m contract with the US Department of Agriculture to manufacture doses for an avian flu vaccine. Further, as middle classes around the world grow and the scrutiny of pet and livestock well-being increases, the animal health industry will experience a spike in demand for quality medicines, vaccines and technology for both production and companion animals.

According to the 2015 Vetnosis Storm Forecast, “the global animal health market is currently valued at $24 billion USD and expected to growth by 3% p.a. in real terms to 2020.” This leaves an open opportunity for emerging companies to meet with strategic development teams from pharmaceutical companies, venture capital and private equity investors for future collaborations and to bring forward new products which can improve the quality of animal health globally.

Emerging companies interested in showcasing at the event and are actively seeking to engage with the industry for either financial investment, product licensing and/or acquisition can submit an application of consideration through an online survey. Twelve will then be nominated and shortlisted by a selection committee comprised of 8 healthcare investment executives representing Commerzbank, Anterra Capital, Elanco, Sinovet and more.

The European Animal Health Investment Forum will take place from 10-11 February 2016 at the Radisson Blu Portman in London, UK. Complete event information is available online at www.animalhealthevent.com. Reduced rates are available for emerging companies and include an evening networking reception for business partnering; conference pass fees will apply.
