Be Italian for a Week: Adventure Tour Takes Guests to the Heart of Italy
Adventurers and olive oil lovers from around the world travel the beautiful countryside of Italy to experience olive oil, wine, cooking, festivals and fun.
Los Angeles, CA, March 04, 2016 --(PR.com)-- With olive oil consumption on the rise internationally, consumers are interested in discovering authentic Italian olive oil and tasting fresh, raw olive oil immediately after it’s produced for a multitude of health benefits. To answer that interest, Olive Oil Sommelier Carol Firenze is offering an exciting opportunity to olive oil lovers around the world to participate in the sixth Be Italian for a Week Adventure Tour of Italy.
This opportunity is a traveler’s dream offering a seven-day taste of Italy in late October and early November 2016. On each tour, Firenze often hosts 10 to 15 people who already know each other through an established group.
“This trip is ideal for members of a family, book club, history group, or yoga class,” Firenze said. “Guests stay in the same villa so there are advantages if you know everyone prior to joining the trip. Even if the guests are meeting for the first time, everyone bonds as they enjoy an innovative tour of Italy.”
The previous sold-out tours have attracted participants from the United States to Europe, while providing the opportunity to encounter Italy’s annual olive harvest first hand. Firenze notes that participants fly to Rome or Florence and begin their adventure by staying at a countryside Italian Villa in Umbria with its own olive grove.
“We’ve developed an interactive itinerary for the adventure tour where guests are directly involved in the olive harvesting process,” Firenze explained. “Each guest enjoys hands-on participation that includes harvesting olives, tasting various olive oils, learning about olive oil, joining cooking lessons, visiting ancient cities and historical locations, experiencing local festivals, tasting various wines, and engaging in the hidden treasures that Italy has to offer.”
History abounds throughout Italy and the local atmosphere is inviting.
“Beyond history, there are many shops with rich, creamy gelato, coffee bars, cafés with tasty bites, and wineries,” Firenze adds. “Enjoying an aperitivo with friends before dinner is also a part of Italian life.”
The Be Italian for a Week Adventure Tour includes a fun-filled, detailed itinerary, seven nights at the gorgeous Villa Gioianna, six dinners, an eco-winery tour, and visits to Assisi, Deruta, Montepulciano, Cortona, Panicale, and Castiglione del Lago. Each tour also includes visits to either a White Truffle Festival or the EuroChocolate Festival.
“There’s something magical about being in Italy and tasting white and black truffle pâté, fresh chocolates, roasted chestnuts or drizzling new olive oil on slices of bread. Locals go to the market daily to buy that day’s food, but the festival vendors offer a heightened experience and it’s all accessible,” Firenze said. “In Italy, preparing and enjoying food is a social event that brings a family together and Italian life revolves around eating incredible food. If you love food, you and your family will love this tour of Italy!”
2016 Tour Dates Available:
Tour 1: October 24 – October 31
Tour 2: November 1 – November 8
Tour 3: November 9 – November 16
