Memorandum on Educational and Training of the Human Resources in the Field of Nuclear Energy and Other Related Areas Signed by Rosatom and the JAEC
Singapore, Singapore, September 30, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The Jordan Atomic Energy commission and Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation signed a Memorandum on educational and training of the human resources in the field of nuclear energy and other related areas on the sidelines of the 60th General Conference of the IAEA in Vienna on September 27, 2016.
The Memorandum was signed by Sergey Kirienko, CEO of Rosatom, from the Russian side and Khaled Toukan, chairman of the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission.
The Memorandum represents the frame agreements on cooperation in personnel training for further realization of Jordan nuclear energy program and defines basis for future bilateral cooperation in this sphere.
In particular, the Parties envisage the cooperation within formation of county's plan of personnel training for development of Jordan NPP project. The plan will focus on specific needs of Jordan in main categories of personnel and define how it can be satisfied considering existing resources and terms of the Project realization. Areas of cooperation between the Parties will include joint programs, exchange programs for undergraduate, graduate, double degree and doctorate students and academicians in nuclear related subjects, internships, summer schools, Olympiads and further contests in fundamental sciences and nuclear education disciplines for students, development of the respective educational materials, manuals and workshops, Joint nuclear R&D programs etc.
