Brenda Cooper Wins Second Endeavour Award

Kirkland, WA, November 29, 2016 --(PR.com)-- eSpec Books Author and Futurist Brenda Cooper received the 2016 Endeavour Award for her novel Edge of Dark, a science fiction novel about mankind coming face to face with its past mistakes, as a near-AI that was banished to the edge of known space finds its way home again. The book is the first volume in the author’s The Glittering Edge duology, published by Pyr Books.

The Endeavour Award (http://www.osfci.org/endeavour/index.php) honors writers living and working in the Pacific Northwest, (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, British Columbia, The Yukon, and Alaska.) It was first presented in 1999 and is awarded at OryCon (http://38.orycon.org/) for books published during the previous year.

The other 2016 finalists are Irona 700 by Dave Duncan, The Price of Valor by Django Wexler, Silver on the Road by Laura Anne Gilman, and Tracker by C.J. Cherryh.

This is Cooper’s second win. In 2008 she received the Endeavour Award for her novel The Silver Ship and the Sea. The author would like to thank the Oregon Science Fiction Conventions, Inc. for the honor.
