TVS Television Network to Produce "Battle of the Bands" in Bakersfield
The TVS Television Network will produce this 13 episode, Half hour TV series at LaPlazita Supper Club in Bakersfield, CA beginning on Sunday, September 17 and continuing each Sunday through December 10.
Bakersfield, CA, August 31, 2017 --(PR.com)-- TVS Television Network will produce another season of "Battle of the Bands" for broadcast, cable, mobile, and digital television platforms. The 13 episodes will be produced on Sunday nights beginning September 17 at LaPlazita Supper Club in Bakersfield, CA. The first two seasons of ‘Battle of the Bands’ were produced at the since demolished Silver Saddle Casino in Las Vegas and appeared on Azteca America and TV4U.
Six bands will compete on the show, with the winner receiving $5,000, a gig in Las Vegas, and a record contract distributed by Universal Music.
TVS also produces Senior Prom, a dance show for Baby Boomers; Rock and Roll Reunion, and Country Roads music programming for television. In addition, TVS has produced TV classic music specials featuring Sweetwater, Big Brother & the Holding Company, The Grass Roots, Moby Grape, Chico Hamilton, The Miracles, and Iron Butterfly.
Rock and Roll Reunion features Len Barry (Dovells), Chuck Jackson, Robert Parker, Ernie K Doe, Frankie Ford, Jean Knight, Donnie Brooks, Jewel Akins, Merillee Rush, Spencer Davis, The Cufflinks, Chris Montez, Al Wilson, Jim Yester (The Association), Bruce Belland (Four Preps), Chuck Rio (The Champs), Lenny Welch, J J Jackson, Mitch Ryder, Ian Whitcomb, Mark Lindsay, Pete Rivera (Rare Earth), Cannibal & The Headhunters Brian Hyland, Lou Christie, Bobby ‘Boris’ Pickett, The Mermaids, and the Bay City Rollers.
