Turmeric: Entering the Golden Age of Latte - The Ginger People® Merge Function and Pleasure with a Delicious New Turmeric Latte

The Ginger People® family is growing. The company, which markets a variety of ginger-based consumer packaged goods, announced it will add a new Turmeric Latte Mix along with several other turmeric products this year. A member of the ginger family, turmeric is one of the fastest growing functional foods and the top searched functional ingredient on Google in 2016, beating out coconut milk and apple cider vinegar.

Marina, CA, March 08, 2018 --(PR.com)-- The Ginger People co-founder Abbie Leeson, announced the company’s on-brand expansion into turmeric earlier this year and estimated about 10 new turmeric SKUs would roll out over the next 12 to 18 months. The new Turmeric Latte Mix is the first product off the rank for The Ginger People and will officially launch at Expo West natural and organic trade show in Anaheim, Calif. March 7, 2018. It’s designed to fan our love affair with turmeric and latte and tap into the growing trend for functional foods that taste good and "do good."

“We want to be the industry leader in ginger and turmeric drinks,” says Bruce Leeson, president of The Ginger People. “This product is our convenient, powdered mix entry into the category.”

“Expanding into turmeric is a logical extension for our ginger brand,” says Leeson. We’re all looking for something healthy yet tasty that is closer to the earth,” says Leeson. “We believe turmeric is something people believe in.”

Turmeric owes its health promoting properties to the chemical compound curcumin, which has powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. Clinically proven to help ward off a number of ailments, curcumin is widely used in the treatment of joint pain, to help counter oxidative damage and aging and to support brain and heart health. A fellow warming spice, it can also help to improve digestion and circulation.

The Ginger People’s new Turmeric Latte Mix is made with Javanese turmeric, a rarer variety of the plant, which also provides Xanthorrhizol, an ingredient that enhances the goodness of curcumin even more. And of course it’s complemented perfectly with the addition of Elephant ginger. Ginger has many evidence-based wellness uses, including the promotion of “vigilance,” a natural effect that may simulate the alertness experienced from caffeine.* Harnessing the power of ginger in lieu of coffee, this proprietary blend is supercharged, yet caffeine free, and with delicious-tasting, low GI Arenga palm sugar to sweeten and balance the earthiness of the turmeric and ginger combo, it also delivers on taste where some sugar-free brands struggle.

The sweet and earthy powdered latte mix is easy to whip up and best served with steamed regular milk or plant-based alternatives. For an extra boost, they suggest adding black pepper.

Turmeric Latte Mix will be available from spring 2018, casting its golden glow over Chai and Matcha in the grocery aisle. It will also be available from specialty stores and coffee bars nationwide, as well as online. The new drink mix is Non-GMO Project Verified, gluten free and vegan. Each single-serve sachet makes one latte and comes 10 sachets to the box. SRP $12.95 ($1.29 per packet). Also available in a bulk 9.7 oz (275g) tub at $11.99.
