Here, you can exchange vows by the water's edge and arrange your reception on the lawn with spectacular views of the city and blue pacific ocean or the shaded brick walkways under the pergola, which are roomy enough to handle a buffet or bar. This is a relaxing, pretty spot for dining, mingling or even dancing in the moonlight. Down the hill from the Lily Pond, El Encanto's main structure offers several other attractive party sites. This large, understated white-and-green clapboard building houses the restaurant, whose spacious terrace can be used for outdoor receptions. Indoor options include the petite Normandy and Brittany Rooms, or the larger Fireside Room, which features a wall of windows facing the distant ocean. To add to its allure, El Encanto also offers first-rate, California cuisine with a French flair in a lovely environment—the restaurant was voted "the most beautiful in Santa Barbara," by Gourmet magazine.
