The Islands of Siankaba comprises of two densely forested sand islands in the Zambezi River near the Siansimba Rapids. They are located 24 miles upstream from the internationally renowned ‘Victoria Falls’ and just 30 miles from the magnificent Chobe National Park. It is an incredibly romantic and picturesque destination that would especially appeal to honeymooners. The two islands are linked by a suspension bridge and overhead walkway in the tree canopy – linking six secluded chalets to the restaurant with a reputation for ‘haute-cuisine in the bush’.
The uniquely designed chalets are constructed of teak and custom-made canvas tenting and are raised well above ground levels in the tree canopy. Private balconies extend over the river.
On offer are guided birding and tree walks on the main island’s nature trail. Guided fishing trips for the elusive Zambezi Tiger fish, sunset river cruises or dugout canoe trips around the Islands. A Variety of expeditions can be arranged such as trips to the Victoria Falls.
Elephant back safaris, bunji jumping, white water rafting, microlighting, helicopter flights, gorge swing, tiger moth flights, game drives and jet boating are all on offer.
