Douglas Johnson has been creating his own vision of eyewear since
1996. He had been wearing the stereotypical John Lennon frames in every color and grew weary of the nostalgia. He looked around for years not finding a worthy replacement. Finally, it came to him. He went to the garage where he knew he would find what he needed to build a prototype. A few minutes later he emerged with the first pair of delusional eye wear and immediately knew he was onto something and got busy fabricating wearable sun wear.
Having been a wire sculptor since childhood, he developed his own fabrication techniques. Soon, a line of eyewear had emerged. He prides himself on his custom pieces although the line is giving everyone a choice of something truly different in eyewear. With the new Delusions Eyeware line, a genuinely new look is afforded to the people daring enough to try them on. High quality UV lenses are used as are a variety of lenses, including prescription. Each pair is hand made in Los Angeles.
Delusions has been featured in the film Serenity and has been showcased at many LA art shows such as the Six Degrees Festival. Each pair of glasses comes in its own art inspired case, and are available in sterling silver and gold filled wire.
