GLU
Client since 2005In an age of hybrid cars and soy lattes, the obvious step would be earth friendly yet stylish accessories. Enter Girls Living it Up, also known as GLU, with a fun selection of handmade bags and belts made entirely of crocheted silk yarn and aluminum can pull tabs. With beautifully handcrafted pieces that come in many sizes and colors, the GLU line is on its way to making its mark in the fashion world as well as the world itself.
The designer of GLU got the inspiration from a bag she had received from a friend who had bought it from a street vendor in Brazil. She saw how she could perfect it and adapt the art of the design to many kinds of bags as well as belts. GLU conceptualizes and handcrafts the uniquely chic accessories and has created a loyal following through design, style and creativity of each piece.
The collection debuted in 2004 and is on its way to being a major hit. The line has been featured on MSNBC’s Today Show as well as in Seventeen Magazine, Calabasas Magazine, Beauty Addict and Inthescenemagazine.com.
Stars like Felicity Huffman, Pamela Anderson and Cheryl Tiegs have made GLU part of their accessory closet as well. The collection can be found on their website at www.girlslivingitup.com as well as at Fred Segal, Intuition, Planet Blue and at Stuff in The Palms in Las Vegas. Pieces retail from $25 - $260.
