Internet marketing professional Martin Lemieux was born in Loretteville, Quebec, and moved with his parents to Germany, to be posted at a Canadian army outpost, when he was two years old. Two years later, Lemieux & his mother relocated back to Canada.

Lemieux got a first-hand look of how the marketing industry works at an early age from his mother, a marketing co-ordinator for a successful advertising firm based in Hamilton.

As a young entrepreneur, 18-year-old Lemieux was introduced to the network marketing industry and worked hard to make a name for himself. At the age of 20, he started a landscaping business. Two years later, Lemieux joined forces with another individual to start an outdoor paintball field. This proved to be a crucial point in his career, as it re-introduced him to the challenge of marketing a business. After building a website for the paintball company and taking charge of all the firm's marketing efforts, Lemieux realized his calling.

At 23, Lemieux once again ventured out on his own. He embarked on challenging learning curve that covered web development, internet marketing, graphic design, and company branding. After a couple of years of freelancing, the Smartads Advertising Network was established.

"I've always been full of ideas on the spot and I truly believe that my success comes from consistently pushing the envelope and never giving up," says company president Lemieux.

Smartads has experienced 300 per cent growth in this, its second year of operation. Each month results in continued growth.

As an Internet marketing professional, Lemieux has truly made his mark on the industry.
