Paul Wengender is the Founder and President of Blue Sky Biotech, Inc. As President, Paul oversees all general & administrative business functions. As Director of Business Development, he leads Blue Sky's strategic business growth and client scientific relations. Paul is a member of The Protein Society, Massachusetts Biotechnology Council, Sino-American Pharmaceutical Association (SAPA), and has participated in the MIT Enterprise Forum, Boston University Biotechnology Association, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute Venture Forum.

Paul has 14 years experience in the research-based drug discovery field. Prior to joining Blue Sky, Paul led a laboratory within Pfizer Global Research & Development dedicated to biological reagent provision in the "gene to protein" space. In addition to a decade of technical and managerial growth within Pfizer, Paul spent 2 years at AstraZeneca (formerly Astra Research Center Boston) studying bacterial pathogen genetics and antigen profiling.

Most recently, Paul graduated with a Master's in Business Administration with concentration in Entrepreneurship from Boston University. He holds a Master's in Science degree from The Pennsylvania State University with thesis study on the genetics of the pathogen S. aureus, and a Bachelor's in Science (cum laude) from SUNY Fredonia in Recombinant Gene Technology with thesis studies on L. monocytogenes genotyping.
