Biography
Thirteen years ago, before the concept of the virtual workforce became widely accepted, McKinley Marketing Partners, Inc. was founded to help organizations locate qualified marketing professionals that could step in to lead or support key projects on an as-needed basis, for example when a full-time staffer went on maternity leave or a new project was initiated unexpectedly.
As McKinley’s co-founder and first employee, Ms. Boggs now serves as the company’s President and CEO. As such, she oversees an operation that consults with Fortune 1000 companies and government agencies regarding their project-based marketing needs, and then taps into McKinley’s exclusive roster of hundreds of pre-screened Interim Marketing ManagersSM (IMMs®) to find the best resource or resources for the project. In 2007 McKinley launched a permanent placement service line.
A specialist in marketing and public relations with considerable expertise in project, event, and operational management, Ms. Boggs is a lifelong entrepreneur who is now living out her dream of owning and managing an established business that is viewed by many of its clients as a vital contributor to their success.
Ms. Boggs' colleagues and business partners are quick to point out that she “walks the talk" through her achievements at McKinley. Prior to founding the company, Ms. Boggs served as an independent marketing contractor, and in this role she was able to gain greater work/life balance. It was then that she determined to make the opportunity available for more professionals by starting McKinley.
Prior to her work with McKinley, Ms. Boggs was with ProServ, Inc., which was, at the time, one of the largest sports marketing firms in the world. A tennis enthusiast, she directed the firm’s men's professional senior tennis circuit, the Prudential-Bache Grand Champions. Under her leadership, this unprofitable division became the company's most profitable enterprise, garnering a 300 percent increase in revenue in just three years. Ms. Boggs also worked for Gerald D. Hines Interests and The Farb Companies, two of the largest private real estate developers in the country, as their Director of Public Relations.
Ms. Boggs is the co-founder of the Athletic Counseling & Treatment Institute, a nonprofit organization established to increase awareness among healthcare professionals and their patients of the physical and psychological side effects suffered by injured athletes.
Ms. Boggs has also served as a Board member for Women’s Business Enterprise National Council and Women’s President’s Educational Organization.
