Biography
Randy Cochran has worked in public accounting and turnaround management for over 30 years. Mr. Cochran started his career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) developing deep technical skills in designing and implementing strategic financial and operational systems for middle market clients. He developed significant expertise in the banking and manufacturing industries, becoming an item processing expert for several large regional and national banks. He developed strong capabilities in strategic process redesign and implementation during his time at Andersen.
With this expertise in banking Mr. Cochran became Senior Vice President of American Federal Bank in Dallas, TX, where he led the operational turnaround of 12 failed Savings and Loans in a financial buyout. He was responsible for all “back office” functions and for leading the acquisition integration teams as additional branches and banks were acquired. Randy developed strong expertise in optimizing revenue and cost centers as a part of this work. He also led the operational turnaround of a high-end leisure company and a software development company following his tenure at the bank.
Mr. Cochran joined Deloitte (formerly Deloitte & Touche) in 1996 and became a consulting partner in 1998. As a partner at Deloitte, he led the development of strategic systems information plans for middle market companies, and implemented ERP systems on 5 different platforms. He was a member of the national merger and acquisition team, performing due diligence on domestic and foreign middle market companies. Additionally he led many post-merger integrations of significant domestic middle market companies as a Partner at Deloitte.
Most recently Randy was a Director at Crowe Horwath, the ninth largest public accounting and consulting firm in the U.S. He concentrated his time on fraud investigations and mergers and acquisitions.
As a Certified Fraud Examiner, Mr. Cochran has led analysis and investigation into many white collar crimes at middle market and Fortune 500 companies. His expertise in financial and operational data analysis and pattern determination is integral to resolving investigations. Randy applies these same analytical skills in the development of financial and operational goals when optimizing companies.
Mr. Cochran earned both his B.S. and MBA in Management and Accounting from the College of Business at Mississippi State University. Mr. Cochran is also a Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA) as recognized by the international Alliance of Merger and Acquisition Advisors (AM&AA), and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) as recognized by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
