In March 2005, Mourad Ben Mokhtar founded FlexisMed SA (subsequently renamed Eden Spine Europe SA), in Geneva Switzerland to address the challenge of removing spinal pain without removing spinal motion. He brings to the organization over 15 years of Research & Development experience. As a biomechanical engineer, his contribution to the value of the organization is highlighted by the substantial patent portfolio that Eden Spine Europe filed since inception and by the development of Eden Spine lead generation technologies such as the PERFX-2™ Posterior Dynamic Stabilization System and the Wellex™ Dynamic Interspinous Technology and the GIZA™ Vertebral Body Replacement. He also contributes by bringing to the group his strong relationship in the Scientific Community and his in-depth knowledge and understanding of the clinical side of R&D. Mr. Mourad Ben Mokhtar was previously the Director of R&D of the Scient’x Group. He was the driving force behind all Scient’x motion preservation technologies, developing over 25-patented technologies. He studied biomechanical engineering & materials and graduated from the University of Reims in France.
