Matt’s experience with Information technology started at Kutztown University, his alma mater. Two years after graduating at the top of his major, Matt was welcomed back as the university's first Webmaster. Due to the technical requirements of the position, Matt reported to the Director of IT. As a result, Matt was knee deep in the center of the university's technology infrastructure.

As a future Director of Information Technology, Matt provided the leadership and technical expertise to create the Smart Classroom department. This department was responsible for the design, development and ongoing support of using technology in the classroom. This technology included internet, projection systems, sounds systems, playback systems, camera systems, all networked together and working in unison. Classrooms could be controlled with ease both internally at the control panel level, and remotely. Under Matt’s leadership, the department went on to install 260 Smart Classrooms across the campus, almost 75% of the university classrooms. Included in this endeavor was a new foreign language technology lab, as well as numerous technology enabled labs across the campus.

Matt’s success in the area led to being selected to provide the direction and oversight of the technology in the new construction of a 65,000 square foot technology center, chrisined The Academic Forum. The first technology center for the university. With seven classrooms, and multiple conference rooms, these spaces provided the best in networked, computer based, audio-visual technology. This project was a major success in Matt’s career and allows for 80 to 200 students per classroom to engage in Kutztown’s curriculum using state-of-the-art technology. Networked, high-resolution cameras allow for overflow from one classroom to another, allowing a professor to lecture in one classroom, and students in the other six classrooms can participate.

After Matt’s tenure at Kutztown University, he went on to found Mosaic Interactive, an award winning, full-service digital agency with a strong foundation in Information Technology. An application driven agency in a Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ), Mosaic won several technology awards, and was also recognized by the Pennsylvania Senate with a Business Achievement award as a leading technology company in the state.

Matt now puts all his technology and management abilities he has mastered over the last 20 years to grow and develop Valley Networks’ uniquely responsive, customized approach to IT service delivery.
