ChemoSAFE prevents errors in the distribution of medications by printing the patient’s photograph directly on the dispensing label. Updates to medication guidelines are immediately propagated throughout the system. For example, if a drug’s rate of administration is changed for safety reasons, the change in the administration instructions can be made for that particular drug, which will revise plans for all patients from that time forward without changing records of previous administrations.
