Description:
The Palladian Interview Coaching Course will help you master the interview skills you need to be successful in your next interview. The course will teach you, step-by-step, how to interview effectively.
I developed the course with five coaching sessions. The first two sessions teach specific interview skills and the final three sessions are practice interviews. We emphasize practicing the techniques to ensure that you master them.
Interview Coaching Course Overview
The first coaching session provides an overview of the interview process. In this session, you will learn what to expect in an interview. We also teach you how to answer the one question you will be asked in almost every interview. At the conclusion of this session, you will receive specific instructions for how to prepare for our second session.
Our second coaching session will delve into detailed techniques that are proven to be effective at preparing to answer almost any question you encounter. You will learn a methodical process to prepare for an interview, ensuring that you don’t get caught off guard. At the conclusion of this coaching session, you will again receive specific activities to help you master these techniques.
With this foundation, we move on to the first practice interview in the third session. In this interview, we ask a structured set of questions tailored to your specific needs and career goals. At the conclusion of each interview, you will receive immediate and specific feedback. This feedback will include areas for you to work on before our next interview. By practicing the techniques we teach in the first two sessions and by giving specific action oriented feedback, you will quickly master the techniques and become more effective.
The final two sessions are similar to the first practice interview. The main difference is that we make the questions in each practice interview a little tougher as you get better. Our goal is to make the final session more challenging than any real interview you encounter.
To ensure that the coaching course is as productive for you as possible, it is important that you do not become comfortable with a single interviewer. For this reason, we will schedule three different interviewers, one for each practice interview. This way, you will have to adapt to different styles and personalities and not become comfortable with one person.
We will work to schedule the coaching sessions and practice interviews around your schedule. To be most effective, we recommend at least two to three days between each session. This will give you sufficient time to reflect on our feedback, complete the assignments and prepare for the next session. This preparation will typically require three to five hours between each session on your part, although more time and effort will accelerate your improvement.
You should plan on devoting two weeks to this course. The first to coaching session will require approximately 30 minutes each on the phone, with a minimum of 3 to 5 hours of work on you own after each. The interviews will be approximately one hour in length on the phone. Again, we recommend a minimum of 3 to 5 hours of work after each interview. This course is most effective when you put in 20 to 30 hours of work over the two weeks.
Our techniques have been proven to be effective and are based on years of assessing and interviewing job seekers. We look forward to working with you to improve your interview skills.
