Hollywood, FL, April 30, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Poet ANASTASIA CLARK announces she will do a poetry reading and book signing at The Goddess Store & Studio on May 21, 2006 at 8:00pm. Clark will be reading from a variety of her full-length books published by Sun Rising Poetry Press, including Grieving With Poetry- poems written after the death of her parents, Bloodsongs- poetry about women’s issues, Skeletons and Other Complaints- poetry about life’s challenges, Vagabond Pond- poems about feeling lost, and Electric Petticoats- poetry celebrating the spicier side of life. Clark will also be reading from her POETRY PETALS collection- themed booklets designed for gift and floral baskets. Titles include Healing Poems, Inspirational Poems, Romantic Poems & Nostalgic Poems and Humorous Poems.
Clark (Moore) grew up in Framingham, MA, where she served as Poet-In-Residence to the Framingham Public Schools during 1977-78. She is a U. S. Marine Corps veteran and also holds a Master of Science degree in Administration. She currently resides in Miramar, FL (Broward County). Her work has appeared in numerous literary magazines and her poem “Old Volcanoes,” was nominated for the Pushcart Prize. Clark served as Poetry Editor and Poetry Columnist for Epiphany Magazine: a celebration in writing.
The Goddess Store & Studio was opened by owner Carmen Garson in 2002. Located in the historical arts district, it has become a popular gathering place for both locals and tourists. The store offers a wide variety of New Age merchandise- including belly dance and flamenco costumes, candles, crystals, incense, music, books, jewelry and other gift items. The store also offers classes including Belly Dance, Exotic Dance, Flamenco, African Drumming & Dance and Kundalini Yoga. The store regularly hosts poetry readings on the 3rd Sunday of each month.
