Advanced Technical Training Network (ATTN) Launches OPE Training Website
The ATTN System offers members an online blended learning approach to preventative maintenance (PM) and diagnostics. It allows a technician or business owner to develop these programs in their dealership, rental, golf course, landscape maintenance, or tree care organizations.
Charlotte, NC, August 13, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Advanced Technical Training Network (ATTN) www.advancedttn.com , the world’s first comprehensive Outdoor Power Equipment training portal geared toward professionals, celebrates their official launch.
The ATTN System offers members an online blended learning approach to preventative maintenance (PM) and diagnostics. It allows a technician or business owner to develop these programs in their dealership, rental, golf course, landscape maintenance, or tree care organizations. ATTN Members can either print off checklists or diagnostics flowcharts to take back to their bench to perform a repair, or for the visual learner, they can sit and watch a 1-5 minute how-to video that corresponds with those documents.
“Our team is excited about the launch,” stated Brian Gardner, VP of Sales/Marketing for ATTN. “With fuel prices and labor costs skyrocketing, industry professionals are looking to streamline their businesses. Dealerships have a difficult time hiring new technicians, keeping up with various brands, and improving shop efficiencies. Landscape, tree care, and golf course organizations need to minimize fuel costs, maximize productivity, and decrease downtime. The ATTN System addresses all of these concerns, and provides proven unbiased information on repair techniques and diagnostics.”
Gardner adds, “Fuel costs are draining profits from companies, which are averaging nearly $4.00/gallon. We want to provide information such as, properly testing compression on a commercial lawnmower engine, detecting a low compression situation, and then repairing it, this can decrease fuel consumption by up to 20%. So in a typical 40 hour work week by not addressing the problem, this can add over $40.00/mower/week to their fuel expenditures. Also, by implementing the ATTN preventative maintenance program alone, this will help reduce downtime and increase productivity. Here is an example: If a mower belt breaks—something that could have been prevented with routine inspection, the crew member has to stop working. This costs the owner, the price of the belt, and over $100.00/hr in lost revenues and downtime. Companies often overlook these happenings, until profitability drops dramatically, especially for those who operate multiple crews. Our goal is to partner with our members to minimize or eliminate these occurrences.”
