Geer Services Inc., provider of IT and business solutions, has announced that they have joined the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce Downtown Council in Jacksonville, FL.

The Downtown Council meets the first and third Fridays of each month, and offers members the opportunity to discuss issues pertinent to downtown business, establish new business relationships, and listen to presentations from local leaders.
“The relationships that are started in the Downtown Council are extremely valuable for services-based companies such as us,” said Geer Services Executive Director of Marketing Services Ken Vezina. “Just as with our other professional memberships, these meetings open our eyes to new ideas and trends that allow us to serve our customers better.”
The Downtown Council has been extremely active in recent years, spearheading a number of events and establishing many familiar downtown landmarks. Events such as the Downtown Art Walks, the Downtown Living Tour, and landmarks such as the Jaguars-themed painted paw prints, were all first-discussed at the Downtown Council meetings.
“It’s a great group of forward thinking leaders,” Vezina said “There is a remarkable feeling of community within the council, and as a result there is great exchange of thoughts and ideas focused in helping our businesses and downtown Jacksonville.”
