1800SkyRide Renews Commitment to Unparalleled Customer Service and Opens a New Chapter of Growth
Kennesaw, GA, August 16, 2008 --(PR.com)-- 1-800-SkyRide Management has announced a renewed dedication to assuring excellent customer service. 1800SkyRide Customer Service Goals create an aggressive roadmap for continued customer service improvement.
1800Skyride experienced an explosion of growth during the early years, and like many young companies they were unprepared for the level of success that came so quickly. A top level executive with 1800Skyride described the changes. "We knew we had a business model that would work well, but we never dreamed things would take off as quickly as they did. Things were changing so fast and we had to adapt constantly to keep up with the changes. We just weren't as prepared as we should have been."
The rapid growth without the appropriate increases to the supporting infrastructure, led to a rash of customer complaints and bad publicity. It became apparent to the management team that the 1800Skyride Customer Service Department needed a serious overhaul. "Many people would have given up when faced with the same challenges we faced, but that simply wasn't something we would consider. We worked too hard to build 1800Skyride, it would have been even harder to give up on it than it would have been to just face the challenges and solve the problems."
1800Skyride employees seem to be optimistic and excited about the direction the company has taken over the last couple of years. One customer service representative proclaims "We're better than we were a year ago, and we will be even better a year from now." Another 1800Skyride representative states, "We still run across customers who have read about some of our former problems, and this makes it more challenging to develop trust with the customer. Those situations just make it all the more rewarding when the customer is ultimately happy. Of course there are always some people that believe everything they read online, and won't give me a chance to help them because they ran across complaints from other customers mixed in with exaggerated claims about how bad we were. It is that little bit of truth about customer service problems from the past, mixed in with the rumors that really make it challenging to restore a customer's faith sometimes. Those are also some of the best calls though. When you resolve it, the customer is so happy and grateful. I love those calls."
Although some of the changes have been tough, employees don't seem to mind. One employee seemed to embrace change with this statement, "Management has really tightened up on procedures, but most of us here at 1800Skyride understand that this is the best thing for our customers. Everyone wants to be proud of the company they work for, so the strict rules we have here to enforce good customer service, just help create something we can all be proud of. Great customer service is not easy to provide, but it is the most important thing. I'm glad 1800Skyride recognizes this, and places such a priority on including ambitious customer service goals in the plans for growth."
