Skrivanek Group Co-Founds Taus Data Association (TDA)
Prague, Czech Republic, August 18, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Teaming with altogether 40 organizations, Skrivanek Group, one of the worldwide major translation and localization service providers, co-founded a new industry association called TAUS Data Association (TDA).
The association will create a database of translation memories and glossaries from different business fields. Skrivanek’s translators, project and quality managers, and customer support staff will have access to this database and will be able to look up terms and phrases for translation. The data pooled in the database will be of the highest quality, assembled from the language assets of distinguished TDA members and edited by dedicated TDA language professionals.
The major benefit from Skrivanek’s active participation in TDA will draw Skrivanek’s clients. They will make direct profit from the most current research, development, and best practices in the translation and localization industry. Working with the TDA database, Skrivanek will further increase the quality of its language services and help its clients to automate and streamline translation and localization processes, and stimulate interoperability, especially in respect to the rapidly growing demand on translations.
“We are very excited about this mutual collaboration of major language industry players,” says Jitka Steinmetzova, CEO of Skrivanek Group. “It’s a big step forward in the innovation of the translation and localization management practices.”
To maximize the positive impact of Skrivanek’s TDA experience to its clients, Skrivanek decided to become one of the Gold Founding Members of TDA, a small group of trend-setting and leading members including: Adobe, Autodesk, Cisco Systems, Dell Global Localization Team, eBay Inc., EMC, Intel Americas Inc., Lionbridge, McAfee, Microsoft Oracle, SDL, Skrivanek and Sun Microsystems.
