Sonitrol Pacific Detects Activity Despite Suspect Attempt to Inactivate System

Everett, WA, August 20, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Police apprehended two individuals suspected of attempting to break into a boat launch ticket machine and smashing the port’s Sonitrol Pacific security system August 18.

A highly trained Sonitrol Pacific operator received an impact activated audio signal from the facility and heard noises indicative of vandalism. He dispatched the port’s guard service and the police department. The audio activation was followed by a “line interrupt” signal, indicating someone was possibly attempting to deactivate the Sonitrol Pacific security system.

The operator called the officers to update them on the activity at the scene and they let him know they located and apprehended two suspects in the process of breaking into the boat launch’s ticket machine.

According to officers, the two suspects smashed components of the Sonitrol Pacific security system in their zealous efforts to get inside the ticket machine.

The port’s guard service call the Sonitrol Pacific operator to thank him for his quick response.
