Triangle Native Tom Booth to Lead Hardin Construction Company’s Raleigh Branch
Raleigh, NC, August 21, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Hardin Construction Company, LLC (www.hardinconstruction.com) has announced that Tom Booth, a vice president for the company, has been named vice president and general manager of the company’s recently expanded Raleigh presence. Booth, a Triangle native, is responsible for overall administration and management of construction and pre-construction services at Hardin as well as new business development in North Carolina. His primary duties involve managing the expanded Raleigh presence, project mobilization, procedural development and implementation, organization planning and interfacing responsibilities in a design team configuration. Hardin has delivered several projects in the Raleigh area, and the company is currently constructing the RBC Plaza.
Booth began working with Hardin at the Atlanta office in 1997, where he served initially as project manager for the company’s hospitality residential market segment. He oversaw such projects as the InterContinental Hotel in Atlanta, the Charleston Renaissance Hotel in Charleston, S.C., and four Hilton Garden Inns, in Denver and Colorado Springs, Colo., Alpharetta, Ga. and near the Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Booth’s activities expanded to other Hardin developments, including the Atlanta Botanical Garden Visitor Center and Parking Facility, the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, the Wentworth Street Parking Garage in Charleston, the Turnberry Country Club, Jasmine Project Phases I and II in Aventura, Fla., Palms Crossing in McAllen, Texas, and St. Johns Town Center North and St. Johns Town Center II in Jacksonville, Fla.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Booth has contributed to the construction efforts of the Charlotte Motor Speedway, the International Trade Center in Washington, D.C. and the Wyndham Palmas Del Mar in Humacao, Puerto Rico. He has spent nearly a quarter-century of his life devoted to construction and his membership in professional organizations includes Associated Builders and Contractors, the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Board of Advisors for the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce. The former Eagle Scout serves on the 2008 Friends of Scouting Campaign and in Atlanta he was an active member of the NorthStar Church, where he served on the mission teams, Shop with a Hero and men’s fraternity committees.
