Harms Software & Grey Sky Films Announce Marketing Alliance
Rockaway, NJ, August 20, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Harms Software, the leading management software provider for the spa and beauty industry and Grey Sky Films have announced an alliance that will provide a powerful, value-added marketing service to Harms Software’s clients. The unique alliance focuses on providing video-based marketing solutions for companies leveraging the growing market for online video content.
“Our tremendous growth throughout the past few years reflects the enormous amount of human capital and resources we have invested in developing products that stimulate the growth and success of our clients,” said John Harms, president and CEO of Harms Software. “Our alliance with Grey Sky Films will provide our clients with a new option for creating powerful, video based marketing content that will differentiate them from the competition in the growing spa and beauty marketplace.”
According to the "Global Spa Economy Report 2007" report, the spa industry generated $46.8 billion in worldwide spa facility business in 2007, including services and product sales. The report collected data from 210 countries and 21,000 industry contacts and confirmed 1.2 million employees in more than 71,600 spas worldwide. The revenue estimates included income from spa facilities, related investments and education spa-related hospitality, tourism and real estate. Factoring in related industries such as beauty, nutrition and fitness, 2007 global health and wellness market revenue exceeded $1 trillion, based on the report.
The alliance between Harms and Grey Sky Films addresses a market that is also projected to grow on its own. A recent Kelsey Group report released last week predicts that revenue from localized video marketing on the Web will grow to $1.5 billion in 2012 from a mere $10.9 million in 2007. Small and medium-sized businesses will spend 11.6% of their online budgets on video by 2012, the firm predicts.
“We are excited about the combination of Harms Software’s leadership position in the Spa and Beauty industry, our creative talent and the growing online video market,” said Chris Vaglio, co-founder of Grey Sky Films. “We intend to work with Harms’ clients to take their marketing efforts to new levels.”
