Square Tomato Wins Horizon Interactive Award for AMS Prevail Network Site

In collaboration with AMS Services, the Seattle-based advertising boutique created an old-school curmudgeon named E. Cumberford Ruthershire. The old-fashioned sourpuss character devotes his time to selling against the efficient technological advance of AMS’ Prevail Network. The interactive site (www.notprevail.org) features Ruthershire’s effort to preach against progress and innovation. Poke around the site and you’ll find a few laughs, including a video clip of E.’s 1920s-styled office. “Creating the AMS Prevail Network website provided a unique venue to reach out to our customers in a fun way, as well as encourage a word of mouth marketing opportunity,” said Linda Caudle, senior manager, marketing communications at AMS Services. “Square Tomato’s direction and creativity on this campaign helped elevate awareness of our solution and meet our business goals.” The campaign was extended to the AMS Users’ Group 2008 Conference, in which life-sized cut-outs of a protesting E. Cumberford Ruthershire were placed around the venue.
