Public Relations Society of America Names Carpenter PR to National Judge's Panel for Selecting Country’s Best PR Campaigns
Carpenter Public Relations is the Only Florida Firm Outside of Miami to Serve the Three Past Consecutive Years.
Tampa, FL, August 23, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Movies has its Oscars. Television its Emmys. Baseball its MVP Award. In the public relations industry, for the best of the best, it’s the Silver Anvil Award.
The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the world’s largest public relations trade organization, has selected Scott Carpenter, president of Carpenter Public Relations, to its national judge’s panel for evaluating and grading the country’s best PR campaigns of 2007 for its most prestigious honor, the Silver Anvil Award.
Carpenter PR has offices in both Tampa and Sarasota.
In accepting the role, Carpenter becomes the only Florida public relations authority outside of Miami to have served as judge for three consecutive years.
“On one hand it’s a tremendous honor and a responsibility given to me by PRSA that I take very seriously,” says Carpenter. “They’ve put their trust in my expertise as a practitioner to evaluate campaigns based on a set of criteria that we live by. On the other, it’s an opportunity to study how the world’s best practitioners ply their trade—something from a national perspective that can only help our firm provide better strategies and outcomes to our clients locally.”
The Silver Anvil is annually awarded to organizations that have successfully addressed a contemporary issue with exemplary professional skill, creativity and resourcefulness. Judges are selected out of an organization of more than 28,000 practitioners. Carpenter will join a select group of 120 peers in New York City for judging the competition.
Carpenter Public Relations is a nationally-acclaimed, full-service communications firm specializing in brand management, marketing and corporate communications.
