Painting Toronto Red for Heart and Stroke

How a Downtown Clinic Plans to Make a Difference.

Toronto, Canada, August 23, 2008 --(PR.com)-- the[clinic], an executive chiropractic health centre in the heart of Toronto’s Financial District, is launching a city-wide campaign to raise money and awareness for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. The “know your[heart]” campaign will take place throughout the month of September and culminate in a red t-shirt day on Friday, September 26th. On that day, participants will be encouraged to wear the campaign’s limited edition red t-shirt in lieu of typical work attire to show their support.

To raise funds in support of research and to help save lives, the[clinic] will be selling packages which include the limited-edition red t-shirt and an aqua massage. Not only will these packages allow participants to raise awareness and show support for the cause in a very eye-catching and fashionable way, but it will also give them the opportunity to partake in a unique, relaxing, and therapeutic experience exclusive to the[clinic] in the city of Toronto.

And to answer the question which you are probably wondering about: “No, you do not get wet during an aqua massage. You keep your clothes on as thirty-six high-powered water jets give you a complete body massage through a water-proof membrane. It’s the question we get asked most often” says Dr. Liza Egbogah.

In conjunction with the red t-shirt campaign, the[clinic] will also be hosting a complimentary educational blood pressure clinic for all participants on Friday, September 26th.

“This is a great opportunity for everyone to learn about their personal risk for cardiovascular disease and to learn how to improve their cardiovascular health” says Dr. Rhuel Maano, who designed this limited edition t-shirt for the occasion. “We hope to make the know your[heart] campaign an annual event. Just seeing as many people as possible wearing the red t-shirts on that day would really emphasize to the public just how important knowing one’s personal risk for cardiovascular disease is to their own personal health and to the health of their loved ones.”

To receive information on how you, you friends and family, and your company can participate and make a difference in this inaugural event, please contact the[clinic] by phone at (416) 366-1710 or by e-mail at info@theclinic-toronto.com.
