PFS Marketwyse Develops Integrated Marketing Campaign for The 2004 Meadowlands Fair
Totowa, NJ, June 11, 2004 --(PR.com)-- PFS Marketwyse, an integrated advertising, marketing and communications firm in Totowa, NJ, is developing a marketing campaign for the Meadowlands State Fair that will draw visitors in the short term and build a strong brand in the long term. Using the headline “19 Days of Fun, a Lifetime of Memories,” PFS and the Meadowlands State Fair are aiming to change the dynamics of the attendants and generate greater profitability for both the fair and its sponsors.
Since the fair is held for only 19 days during June and July, the campaign must generate excitement. PFS will emphasize in a creative manner that the State Fair is not just an event you attend and forget about. “We want to change this from a simple event, to the highlight of the summer,” said CEO and creative director of PFS Marketwyse, Jason Miletsky.
PFS has created a new image for the fair, which includes bold, vibrant and upbeat images. The campaign will be marketed to families and children to create a unique brand identity.
“Creatively, PFS has put together a wonderful presentation. They’ve helped us market the message that we are a family affair,” said Michele Tartaglione, Director of Advertising and Marketing for State Fair. “We want to be known as the finest fair in New Jersey and PFS’ professionalism and creativity are what will make this campaign a success.”
The goal is to increase the Meadowlands State Fair’s exposure and interest by 20 percent from last year, due to the efforts PFS Marketwyse will put forth.
“Highlighting the fact that the fair is only 19 days will create a sense of urgency that will draw people in earlier, and will make young people want to visit more than once over the 19 day period,” said Miletsky. The State Fair campaign will include print advertising in magazines and newspapers, highway billboards, radio and cable TV ads that all focus around the central creative concept of “family fun.” This conception will be part of collateral material, such as brochures and handouts, which will be provided to fair patrons. Advertising is set to hit on May 24, 2004.
The State Fair consists of three weeks of non-stop entertainment for the entire family, in one of the most populated areas in the United States. It is the largest attended event in New Jersey, with more than 400,000 attendees in 2003. The extensive advertising and media relations efforts put forth by PFS Marketwyse will reach more than 16.5 million people in the tri-state Area.
The State Fair Event Management produces State Fair Meadowlands, now known as Bennigan’s State Fair Meadowlands. This is the second year of a five year contract that will bring State Fair Event Management together with Bennigan’s Grill & Tavern, in order to provide visitors from all over New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania a mix of family entertainment, fine food and exhilarating attractions and rides.
